First, to correct the person that said it came with the wrong software, Pattern editor is hidden within the Project designer softwarer that comes with the machine so the probe comes with the same disc as the machine. It is unlocked when you register the probe. Also, if your machine doesn't have the plug port on the QC truck you need an extra cable, just contact LHR (carvewright manufacturer) and they will hook you up.The probe opens up endless possibilities for new designs and I consider it a necessity.
As I have said in my previous post on the carvewright machine this is a must have for all woodworkers and someone just wanting to have fun. As with the carvewright machine, I found the probe easy to work with. My thoughts were how could this little thing do so much, but it does.Carvewright's website offers answers to any additional questions you might have on how to set up the probe and how to use it. These are powerful machines and accessories so take your time and above all HAVE FUN.Thank you Amazon, you have made me a happy woman.
Can't tell you how the probe worked. Just received it today all ready to use it and the wrong software was in the box. Make sure the scan editor software is in with the probe and not the carvewright designer software for the machine itself if you order.
